LDC Counselling

1.

Individual
Counselling for Adults

Sometimes it's easier to talk to a stranger than to relatives or friends.

During our counselling I will listen and help you find your own answers to problems, without judgement.

It's an opportunity to look at what's bothering you in a different way with someone who'll respect you and your opinions.

Long or short term sessions available either face to face or on-line.

2.

Individual Counselling12-17yrs

One to one counselling for this age group can be very helpful as an opportunity to explore any issues that are experienced with a trained professional.

Long or short term sessions available either face to face or on-line.

About me & my therapy practice

Hello, I'm Leah, a considered and resourceful counsellor with a caring, warm, supportive nature and a desire to help others help themselves.

I believe that often we can be out of tune with ourselves, having little time for self-reflection, not knowing ourselves, our motivations, or why we do the things we do.

We can get caught up in our stories and reliving the same experiences often learnt in childhood. This can lead to feelings such as anger and frustration, being reactive, anxious, feeling stuck or unhappy.

I’m an integrative counsellor trained in Psychodynamic theory, Person Centred Approach and Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT) which means I draw on these modalities to best suit your needs. I'm a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).

Face to face counselling is based in Blackheath, SE London.

All are welcome, I have experience working with all ages from 12 years to retirement and people from many cultural backgrounds, LGBTQIA+ friendly.

What I offer

I offer time for you to get comfortable with sharing your life.

To come and explore issues you have experienced and start to better understand and yourself and those around you.

Doing this will help you to prioritise what is important to you and be less punishing on yourself or others, learning to live a life that is self-aware and ultimately more fulfilling.

I do this by offering a space;

- in which we develop a relationship in which you feel heard and understood,

-safe and not judged,

- cultivating an environment for opportunity and learning.
