I am registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a Data Controller. I am committed to maintaining the privacy of all of my clients and ensure transparency on how your data is collected, processed and kept. I am classed as a ‘data controller’ under the General Data Protection Regulation 2018, meaning I am responsible for collecting, processing and keeping your data.
What data do I collect?
I collect personal information such as name, date of birth, email address, postal address and telephone number, GP information as well as any other information you provide in any communications between us.
I may also collect some more sensitive information during your time with us; for example your medical history, personal history, sexual orientation or other personal information that is classed as sensitive. This information is only used for dealing with your enquiry, as session records by me as your counsellor and at supervision sessions by me as your counsellor. Most of this data is kept anonymously and is not passed on except in exceptional circumstances, for example when there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others.
